This patch adds support for Windows operating system suspend and hibernation to the ManageSoft for managed device client's task scheduler and may be installed on version 8.0 and 8.2 of ManageSoft for managed devices.
This patch updates the ManageSoft task scheduler, ndtask.exe and its run-time library ndtaskd.dll. The updated scheduler is now capable of detecting suspend and hibernation of Windows devices. On detecting resume from suspend and hibernation, the patch will re-calculate the scheduled times of all tasks and schedule a catchup task. Any tasks that were scheduled to run during the suspended time will not be run unless configured to do so during catchup. Windows must be suspended for at least five minutes before schedules will be re-calculated and catchup run. Catchup processing will be performed five minutes after the machine has resumed.
To install, run:
msiexec /l*v %TEMP%\MgsKB101006.log /qb- /p MgsKB101006.msp REINSTALL=ALL MGSPATCHFIRST=TRUE MGSPATCHLAST=TRUE
Use the additional msiexec parameter REBOOT=ReallySuppressto suppress any reboot at the time of patch installation.
Uninstallation is only possible on Windows XP SP2, Windows Server 2003 SP1, or later platforms, or on earlier platforms running Windows Installer 3.0 or later.
