RMS200007: License counting "Invalid object name 'ManageSoft.dbo.LicenseCountingProperties'"

ENGLISH VERSION

While trying to access the License counting module in the RMS console you might receive the Invalid object name 'ManageSoft.dbo.LicenseCountingProperties' error message if your database name is not set to ManageSoft.

In order to fix this problem you have to do the following steps:

  1. Log on to your database
  2. Execute the following query on the database:
SET ANSI_NULLS ON

GO

SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON

GO

ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo].[LicenseCountingGetPropertyDataValuesById]

@PropertyId int

AS

SELECT

      [LicenseCountingPropertyDataValueID]

      ,[LicenseCountingPropertyDataValue]

      ,[LicenseCountingPropertyId]

  FROM [LicenseCountingPropertyDataValues]

  WHERE LicenseCountingPropertyId = @PropertyId

GO

ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo].[LicenseCountingGetPropertyName]

@LicenseId int

AS

SELECT TOP 1

      [LicenseCountingPropertyBound]

  FROM [LicenseCountingProperties]

  WHERE LicenseCountingPropertyID = @LicenseId

GO

This will fix the problem.

The problem will only occur if you have set up any Custom Properties within the License counting module. If you have not set up any Custom Properties yet and your database is not named ManageSoft, then you will receive the Invalid object name 'ManageSoft.dbo.LicenseCountingProperties' error message when you try to create a new custom property. In that case, just use the steps mentioned above to fix this problem.

SET ANSI_NULLS ON

GO

SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON

GO

ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo].[LicenseCountingGetPropertyDataValuesById]

@PropertyId int

AS

SELECT

      [LicenseCountingPropertyDataValueID]

      ,[LicenseCountingPropertyDataValue]

      ,[LicenseCountingPropertyId]

  FROM [LicenseCountingPropertyDataValues]

  WHERE LicenseCountingPropertyId = @PropertyId

GO

ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo].[LicenseCountingGetPropertyName]

@LicenseId int

AS

SELECT TOP 1

      [LicenseCountingPropertyBound]

  FROM [LicenseCountingProperties]

  WHERE LicenseCountingPropertyID = @LicenseId
